Panasonic TC-P50UT50

I bought one of these the other day.  Pretty great!  For your best experience, do not not leave it in default setting.  The eco mode is pretty horrendous, and the "Motion Smoother" is really awful, but once you set it up, it's really a delightful set.  I got the extra warranty from Square Trade as there have been reports of issues with some of these sets, and now I know it'll last me at least 5 years.
The optical out does send out Dolby Digital 5.1, but it has no idea what to do with DTS.
The built-in media player works great, and has a very good picture.  I haven't tried a wide variety of file types, but x264 video and mpeg2 video in mkv container work very well.
So far, I've read it's not great on 3d, but that's a bonus feature anyway.  By the way, you should know you can use new Samsung 3d glasses on this set as both use Bluetooth and are interchangeable, and the Samsung ones are a lot less.  There are also other companies out there now making Bluetooth 3d glasses for varying prices.  Since this is a new product, there may be a little time to settle out which ones are worth extra money.
One of the things I am really happy about is that a few years ago they started frosting the screen to obscure reflections, which I thought softened the picture.  This one is quite reflective, so that softness is not present.  The downside of this, of course, is that if you watch television in a bright environment, you'll have reflections.
We've been using the Netflix feature of the set too, and it works well.  It's interesting to hit the 'info' button as it tells you the current resolution you're getting from Netflix as the feed spools up.  I've been getting 1080 feeds just fine, and using Ethernet over powerline adapter to run network to the set.  It also does dlna, and I'm using the Windows 7 server.  So far it's fine, if hard to navigate.
Updates to follow!
